Why People Love Martial Arts And Kung Fu Movies

Action movies throughout the years have employed a variety of strategies to make the experience more exciting and realistic. However, martial arts and kung fu movies have often innovated in ways that affect cinema as a whole. These films have undergone several major changes. Audiences have rolled with these changes and come back wanting more.

While most people may not know about it, one of the first martial arts and kung fu movies appeared during the era of silent films. The Burning of the Red Lotus Monastery portrayed a story from a newspaper serial. The final product is a 27-hour film, if viewed in its entirety. It was very popular when it came out and remains one of the longest films ever made.

A typical aspect of these motion pictures is the filming of highly choreographed, large group fights. These scenes require many cameras and trained martial artists in order to look realistic and exciting. Increasingly, computerized special effects are able to fill in the scene so not so many actual people have to be on the set.

This type of film, though, really took off in Hong Kong during the 1970s. Bruce Lee and his style of fighting fueled a lot of this passion. He had had some success on television in the United States, but it was in Hong Kong that he made several motion pictures in quick succession. These helped the Hong Kong industry develop more and even spawned a new generation of actors.

The popularity of Lee’s films extended to North America and Europe. Sometimes, performers from other countries would appear in important scenes, thereby making a name for themselves. This created another tier of famous actors and prompted more people to train in the martial arts.

Names like Chuck Norris, Steven Seagal and Jean Claude Van Damme came to prominence during this time. They used their skills to put on a show in Hollywood films that reached massive audiences. This breathed new life into the genre and gave it a different flavor. Hollywood used some of the typical elements of the genre and mixed them with new plots in a variety of locations.

One exciting recent development, though, is that much of the momentum is swinging back to Asia. Actors like Jackie Chan remain extremely popular in Asia and the rest of the world. Mainland China is also producing high quality movies now and several actors have risen to the industry’s top there. Even places like Thailand have an industry with a global reach. Tony Jaa is considered by many to be one of the next big stars.

Fashion and aesthetics change over time, which has a lot to do with how popular martial arts and kung fu movies at any given time. But behind the fluctuations in popularity, these films have something inherent in them that always strikes a chord with viewers from many different backgrounds. Whatever this something is, it ensures that fans will not have to worry about finding new motion pictures to watch, year in and year out.

Why Must You Get Reason 5.0 Music Making Software?

Reason 5.0 is a computer program designed for making music that was created by a Swedish software company named Propellerhead Software. The program offers the ability to work with synthesizers, samplers, mixers, sequencers, and signal processors to name a just a few things.

The Reason software can be used as your own virtual music studio without having to sacrifice any main features that you might find in a brick and mortar studio. It can also be combined with other sequencing software in order to create your own unique sounds that can’t be found elsewhere.

The first version of Reason, versions 1.0, was released back in the year 2000. It was well known for its ability to act as a studio rack, allowing users to insert their own virtual instruments, processors, and effects into the program.

Ever since that powerful debut, there have been four more versions, the latest being Reason 5.0 which was released late 2010. Of course, Reason 5.0 is overflowing with new features, such as the Kong Drum Designer, Dr. Octo Rex, Neptune Pitch Adjuster, and so much more! All these features come with cool sounding names too.

The Neptune pitch adjuster is one of the new effects available only in Reason 5.0, which allows you to auto tune the vocal track. It also contains a voice synthesizer by which you can create new harmonies using your vocal tracks and MIDI keyboard. This is a fitting addition to all the great quality effects of Reason such as the chorus, reverb, vocoder, etc.

The only criticism against Reason 5.0 is its inability to record audio. I guess the guys at Propellerhead are still stubborn in that way. You can still get around it though. Another sign of the priorities of the Propellerhead people is that Reason 5.0 still doesn’t support third party plug-ins, making Reason 5.0 very self-contained and one of the most stable music softwares out there.

For its price I guess it’s one of the best buys, so long as you can swallow some of its quirks, like the lack of audio sampling support and third party plug-ins. If you can, then Reason 5.0 will definitely count as all you need to create the music of your dreams.

If you’ve made the choise to unlock your creative music making powers, then look at Reason 5.0 on your own. read other articles by the same writer right here.
